DESCRIPTION:

The construction crew poured 20' x 40' tiltup panels on the ground and with the assistance of a 250 ton crane lifted the panels into place. There were a total of seventy-one, each weighing an average of 45 tons. This project was constructed during the winter months and only took four months to complete.

A helicopter from Construction Helicopters of, Ypsilanti was utilized to move 23 heating and air-conditions units onto the roof of the Home Depot department store. Each unit weighed 2500 pounds. With the direction of Superintendent Alan Hugo, this

operation went off with no problems and was completed in thirty-two minutes. By doing this task with a helicopter, J.R. Heineman was able to move the project along more efficiently which was more cost effective for the Owner.
